3-S Mühendislik Müşavirlik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was founded by Kerim Dervişoğlu in Istanbul. In its early years, our company was the representative of European companies that produced auxiliary equipment such as slitting blades, rollers, brushes, air nozzles used in production in the iron and steel industry.

In 2003 our company began to be the representative of Quaker Chemical B.V. (as with the merger with Houghton, name was changed to Quaker Houghton), which had 29 different production facilities in 19 different countries on 5 continents.

While the imported products were offered to the domestic market until 2006, after this date, efforts were concentrated in exportation and the first export was made.

In 2007, Potenza Endüstriyel Yağlar Sanayi Ticaret Ltd. Şti. was established under the roof of 3-S Mühendislik. As of this date, production and R&D investments began to be planned and implemented besides marketing and support services.

Since 2009, we produce industrial oil under Potenza brand using Quaker Chemical concentrates in our production facility, which is located in Düzce industrial site.

In 2014, our engineering group was separated from 3-S Mühendislik under the name of Potenza Mühendislik A.Ş. Thus, 3-S Mühendislik gained a structure which operates particularly in the field of industrial oil.

While in 2015 and 2016, we increased our capacity and capability with new hall constructions and laboratory investments, our R&D center was opened in 2017.

With the establishment of our transformer oil facility in 2018, we have started to supply transformer oil in bulk and drum way. In the same year, our engine oil exportation has started.

In 2019, the construction of our 800m² facility in Uganda Kampala was completed and the production of mineral oil started.

In 2020, our ester reactor and additional laboratory investments were completed in Düzce facility. Thereby, our R&D activities have accelerated and ester production has started.

All of our products are controlled and ensured to be at the same quality in our laboratory equipped with modern equipment. Samples taken from our customers are regularly analysed and reported in our laboratory. With R&D and P&D projects, which are carried out by our chemists and consultants with academical backgrounds, continuous improvement is achieved in our products to meet even the most up-to-date requirements.
